This field transforms raw textile fibers—cotton, wool, synthetics, and blends—into finished apparel. The department offers two distinct, progressive occupational pathways from Level 1 to Level 5: Fashion Designing – which focuses on aesthetic vision, trend forecasting, creative sketching, and pattern architecture. Garment Production – which focuses on industrial machinery, cutting-room efficiency, quality control, and high-volume manufacturing. Together, these two tracks create a holistic educational ecosystem. Fashion Designers provide the creative blueprints, and Garment Production technicians turn those blueprints into tangible, retail-ready products. Graduates of either track emerge as highly sought-after professionals, ready to elevate Ethiopia’s burgeoning textile and apparel industry on both local and global stages.
